Passive Flooring Workshop February 25th, 2017 9am - pm $75 Member, $100 Non-Member The old growth wood in our historic floors is a precious natural resource and most floors can only be drum sanded three times before they are at the end of their life. This class will teach how to patch, remove old finish, remove water and pet stains, and apply a finish all without aggressively sanding. Participants must wear closed toe shoes and bring a lead safe respirator with lead (pink/purple) filters. Lunch is on your own. Downtown is two blocks away. Sign up here or at the Salvage Barn, 2401 Scott Blvd SE, Iowa City. Workshops will take place at the Houser-Metzger House, 623 College St, Iowa City. Members of Friends of Historic Preservation are eligible for reduced workshop pricing. Join today! Workshops made possible by a grant from the Community Foundation of Johnson County.
